A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the bakery on the port side of 5 deck between 20 and 30 stations. He is close to the ship's side looking forward and inboard. On the left is a G.E.C. 440 volt electric oven unit. In the centre is a large double doored electrical unit and to the right of it is a desk with a shelf over, partly hidden behind a pillar. On the extreme right is a bulk dough transfer trolley.
