A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the bakery on the port side of 5 deck between 20 and 30 stations. He is very close to the ship's side looking forward and slightly inboard at a G.E.C. 440 volt electric oven unit with a large control panel on the left.. On the right is a large double doored electrical unit.
