A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the bakery on the port side of 5 deck between 20 and 30 stations. He is looking aft from near the ship's side showing the arched opening into the bread cooling space. A stainless steel sink unit and a belt driven electric pump with a drain well are on the right. To the left of the opening are a telephone and a first aid cabinet.
