A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the ship operations room on 01 deck between 87 and 100 stations. The photographer is looking forward at the sliding door leading into the bridge lobby. On the right is the door leading to the L/Cdr Ops Annexe and between these doors is an automatic emergency lantern. To the left of the bridge lobby door is a notice board fitted with six bulldog clips. On the left is a communications desk with a fleet disposition board above it.
