A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the ship operations room on 01 deck between 87 and 100 stations. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard at a communications desk fitted with morse keys and with a fleet disposition board and Opgen 'A' state board above it. The door leading to the L/Cdr Ops Annexe is on the right with an automatic emergency lantern alongside it.
