A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified electrical equipment room on one of the lower decks. He is looking towards the door of the compartment showing three identical boxes on the left over a unit with two small lamps attached. To the right of the door is an automatic emergency lantern, two telephones and a fire extinguisher. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers PM3112/27, PM3112/28, PM3113/29 and PM3113/30 were all taken in the same compartment.
