A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the Commando group sergeants' recreation space on the port side of 4 deck between stations 150 and 164. He is looking aft showing settee benches lining the bulkheads with cupboards beyond the bench on the inboard bulkhead. A glass fronted cupboard is on the port side between the settee bench and the bar. The door to the space is in the aft bulkhead.
