A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the main communications office (lower) on 01 deck between 100 and 109 stations. He is looking forward from the middle of the port side of the room showing the Power Equipment Company Powquip teleprinters and other equipment in bays 5, 6 and 7. The door to the ship operations room is in the forward bulkhead. An automatic emergency lantern and a fire extinguisher are to the right of the door. A vertical format negative.
