A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the main communications office (lower) on 01 deck between 100 and 109 stations. He is looking to starboard and slightly forward from the aft end of the room showing a bay containing two Power Equipment Company Powquip teleprinters on the extreme left with another one on the starboard bulkhead. A circuit connecting box is in the foreground and in the background is Rack C containing nine identical electrical units. A vertical format negative.
