A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the main communications office (lower) on 01 deck between 100 and 109 stations. He is looking forward into the starboard forward corner showing two combination safes and two telephones in the right foreground with a much smaller combination safe on the starboard bulkhead at high level. A control circuit exchange unit and two state boards are against the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
