A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the N.B.C.D. headquarters on 5 deck to starboard of the centreline between 116 and 123 stations. He is looking to port from the aft end of the compartment showing main electrical supply system panel on the port bulkhead. A rating is leaning against a desk on the left and the end of the desk is being used as a tea station. Notice boards fitted with bulldog clips are on the right behind the officer.
