A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the assault operations room on the starboard side of 1 deck between 91 and 107 stations, looking to starboard. A VHA display is in the foreground and an SACC plot is on the right. A communications desk equipped with a morse key and two trays is alongside the helicopter state board and a covered wall map on the starboard bulkhead. On the left is the command desk.
