A port side view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925) at anchor in an unidentified Norwegian fjord.
A port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925),anchored in an unidentified Norwegian fjord. At least three of the ship's boats are out of their falls and an accommodation ladder is rigged at a shell door amidships on the port side. The ship has a black hull with white upperworks. One of the ship's boats is alongside the accommodation ladder and two can be seen at or near the jetty in the foreground. The photographer is on the foreshore and a small wooden building with a wooden shingle roof is on the extreme right of the picture at the back of the stone quay. From 1932 the ship was given an all-white livery.
