A starboard side view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925) alongside a wharf at Leningrad, Soviet Russia.
A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925) alongside a wharf at Leningrad. Two brows are in place at starboard side shells doors forward and amidships.
The photographer is on shore looking across the wharf, which appears to be a commercial cargo facility with lumber stacked on the quayside and a form of sheerlegs crane at the far end of the wharf. The ship has a black hull with white upperworks and in 1932 she adopted an all-white livery. The negative is slightly out of focus.
