A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified junior rates or other ranks mess on the forward end of 4 or 5 deck. The photographer is looking into a corner of the mess showing kit lockers and a three tier bunk unit. A kit bag is in the corner and a spitoon is on the deck. A colour negative. Negatives numbers PM3145/0CN, PM3145/1CN, PM3145/2CN and PM3145/3CN are all very similar.
