A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified junior rates or other ranks mess on the forward end of 4 or 5 deck. He is looking outboard in a corner showing three tier bunk units on the left, kit lockers on the right and a table and two chairs. A scuttle is open in the ship's side. A colour negative. Negatives numbers PM3145/4CN, PM3145/5CN and PM3146/6CN are all very similar.
