A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified junior rates or other ranks mess on the forward end of 4 or 5 deck. He is looking at two triple tier bunk units with the one on the left rigged for sleeping and the one on the right rigged for sitting. A mirror and a hinged table are on the bulkhead on the right. A colour negative. Negatives numbers PM3147/16CN and PM3147/17CN are very similar.
