A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified junior rates or other ranks mess on the forward end of 4 or 5 deck. He is looking into an alcove which has a settee on three sides. A cupboard is above the settee in the corner, a litter bin and a spitoon are on the deck. A vertical format colour negative. Negatives numbers PM3151/20ACN and PM3151/21ACN are very similar.
