A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the hangar on 3 deck looking aft and to port on the starboard side at the lift well between 169 and 189 stations. The area is used for the stowage of commando group assault stores.
