A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the port side of the hangar at 116 station on 3 deck looking to starboard. On the starboard bulkhead are an A/C hydraulic servicing trolley and hose, fire curtain controls and the bomb lift. On the deck are two drop tanks labelled 'Asbestos Phenolic Material'. Stored high up on the hangar wall are spare helicopter rotor blades.
