A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the port side of the hangar at 74 station on 3 deck looking to starboard. On the starboard bulkhead are an hose reel, stowage for a twin cylinder CO2 trolley unit, an avcat fuel pumping unit an A/C hydraulic servicing trolley and hose and two telephones. Stored high up on the hangar wall are spare rotor blades. Dustbins, steps, battery chargers and jacks are on the deck.
