A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the centre of the hangar at 154 station on 3 deck looking to port. On the port hangar wall are stowage for an HP/LP air panel, a cable reel, a NATO air panel, a fire main point, a drop tank handling pole and an avcat fuel hose reel. Large storage racks and a number of electrical connection boxes are at high level.
