A 35 mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) alongside 6 and 7 wharves in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in early July 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the boat crane platform on the starboard side of the flight (1) deck at 150 station looking forward at an almost empty walkway. A scupper is in the left foreground and planks and scaffold poles are on the flight deck. A vertical format negative.
