A 35 mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) alongside 6 and 7 wharves in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in early July 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the walkway on the port side of the flight (1) deck at E station looking aft showing two lockers, a steel ladder, two cable reels and an avcat fuel pump unit. On the right undergoing a refit in the Prince of Wales Number 5 dock is the landing platform dock Fearless (1963). A vertical format negative.
