A 35 mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) alongside 6 and 7 wharves in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in early July 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the walkway on the port side of the flight (1) deck at 33 station looking forward showing a fire point in the foreground with an avcat fuel pump unit and an aircraft servicing power outlet beyond. Two hoses cross the walkway from the flight deck. The aircraft carrier Ark Royal (1950) is alongside number 5 wharf in the background. A vertical format negative.
