A 35 mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) alongside 6 and 7 wharves in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in early July 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the starboard walkway of the flight (1) deck at 49 station looking aft and to starboard showing cable reels on the right and left and pieces of unknown equipment resting against the bulwark. Scaffolding is over the end of the walkway.
