A 35 mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) alongside the east wall in the Prince of Wales Number 5 Dock in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in early July 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the port side of the flight (1) deck at 94 station looking forward and to port showing the glide path indicator in position. An avcat fuel pump unit is in the walkway. In the right background is the Admiralty Floating Dock 58 (1957) with a submarine undergoing a refit.
