A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the crew's mess between 78 and 85 stations on 2 deck. The photographer is just to port of the centre line of the mess at 80 station looking to starboard and slightly aft showing the stairs leading up to 1 deck. Behind the stair is a hatch leading down to 3 deck. Coats are hanging in the stair well and one of them has the badge of a marine engineering mechanic. A vertical format negative.
