A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. The battery charging room between 48 and 50 stations on the centre line on 01 deck. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard through the doorway showing a charging unit and four charging racks above a workbench on which there are three trays containing many batteries. On the aft bulkhead are a first aid cabinet and a container of distilled water. Emergency hand lanterns are hanging from the deckhead.. A vertical format negative.
