A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the diesel generator compartment between 61 and 65½ stations on 1 deck. The photographer is looking forward from the aft end of the port side of the compartment showing the port 750 KW generator and Paxman six cylinder diesel engine on the left and the bulkhead for the gas turbine uptake on the right. A workbench fitted with a vice is in the forward end of the compartment. A vertical format negative.
