A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the diesel generator compartment between 61 and 65½ stations on 1 deck. The photographer is looking to starboard from the forward end of the port side of the compartment showing a workbench fitted with a Paramo No. 48 vice in the foreground. An axial flow fan manufactured by Keith Blackman Ltd is in trunking on the left with a small motor beyond it. 4000 lb p.s.i. starting gas cylinders are on the right. A vertical format negative.
