A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the sonar control room between 41 and 43 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck. The photographer is looking into the forward port corner from the starboard aft corner showing seating for seven operators, four against the starboard side, one on the port side and two on the aft bulkhead. In the centre on a raised platform is the chair of the sonar control officer. On the deck against the forward bulkhead is a padlocked cabinet labelled for the Type Sonar 1072 Teacher Tape Stowage.
