In the sonar control room between 41 and 43 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck. The photographer is looking aft from forward showing the console for the sonar type 177 to the right of the door leading to the operations room. Above the door is a clock reading 9.00 and a tannoy. To the left of the door is an automatic emergency lantern and control and starter boxes for the type 170B sonar.
