Mohawk (1962). The spare engine and deck store between 68 and 69½ stations on the port side of 1 deck.
A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. The spare engine and deck store between 68 and 69½ stations on the port side of 1 deck. The photographer is looking aft through the open doorway. A 'No parking' sign, some wire mesh panels, two of the ship's bells, two wrapped panels, a large lamp and a rating's kitbag, coat and cap are in the store. A vertical format negative. NB: The descriptive index that accompanied the Mohawk's set of negatives describes this negative (number 955785/219) as looking aft in the spare engine and pump space between 67½ and 68½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck but the starboard side between 68 and 71½ stations is occupied by the mortar projectile handing room.
