A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the crew's galley between 45 and 50 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard at the aft end of the galley showing boiling coppers, steaming ovens and an automatic emergency lantern on the aft bulkhead. In the right foreground is a shelf unit for pan storage and it has a rotary tin opener fixed to the near end. Against the starboard side of the ship is a worktop with a meat slicer on it and cooking pans are stored on a shelf under it. Baked Beans are stored on a shelf at high level. A notice board and an automatic emergency lantern are next to the worktop.
