A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the crew's galley between 45 and 50 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck. The photographer is looking to port from the starboard forward end of the preparing space. A hot plate is in the left foreground with a hand washing facility beyond it. In the port bulkhead is the door to the galley. Against the forward bulkhead is a worktop with cupboards and drawers below and shelves above. An automatic emergency lantern is mounted on a full height cupboard near the door. A mixing machine is in the right foreground. A vertical format negative.
