A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the steering gear compartment between 85 and 95 stations on 2 deck. The photographer is looking to port and up from the forward end on the port side showing a wire mesh fronted cage with eleven lockable boxes on top of it and shelves labelled 'Air hose stowage' next to it. A wire cage surrounding the steering gear is on the extreme left. Nests of drawers labelled 'A.S.C. stowage' are against the forward bulkhead and a shelf labelled 'Ceremonial light fittings' is above the drawers.
