A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the steering gear compartment between 85 and 95 stations on 2 deck. The photographer is looking aft from the forward end on the starboard side showing the wire cage surrounding the steering gear on the extreme right with an electric fire mounted on it. Nests of drawers labelled 'A.S.C. stowage' are against the starboard side with shelves below, above and aft.. A vertical format negative.
