A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the steering gear compartment between 85 and 95 stations on 2 deck. The photographer is looking to starboard from the forward end showing the wire cage surrounding the steering gear on the extreme right. Nests of drawers are against the starboard side with shelves below and above. A control box for the steering motor is on the forward bulkhead and two pairs of shorts are hanging from a deckhead conduit in front of it. A vertical format negative.
