A starboard side view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger liner and cruise ship Chusan (1950) at anchor in an unknown French Mediterranean coast location. Her port anchor is deployed and she is flying the French courtesy flag at the foremast head. She is fitted with a Thornycroft type funnel cap. A United States Navy Des Moines class heavy cruiser is in the right background. Negatives numbers N83513, N83516 and N83517 were taken on the same occasion. The acetate negative has a blue discolouration and is showing the early signs of reticulation.
