She is dressed overall and is flying the Blue Peter from the foremast starboard yardarm. The number 43 26 feet long Southern Railway brow runs steeply from the quay to the ship's main deck. Crew members are on the main deck and they are being watched by passengers on the promenade deck and by passengers and crew on the boat deck. Cranes on the right are loading baggage and stores using cargo nets.
