A distant starboard bow view of the United States Navy destroyer Shaw (1935) berthed on the Molo Angioino in the port of Naples, Italy. The photographer is on board the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orontes (1929) which is being manoeuvred in the Bacino Angioino with the tug Vesuvio (1931), seen from fine off her starboard quarter, connected to her stern. The hull number of the Shaw is 373 and she is berthed stern-on to the quay with both anchors deployed. The hospital ship Po (1911), seen from off her starboard bow and also moored to the Molo Angioino, is on the right. The Castel Sant Elmo is in the background.
