A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty, where this photograph was taken. The photographer is on the starboard side of the quarterdeck (1 deck) looking aft and to port at 85 station showing a type 182 sonar decoy stored flat on the deck and another stored vertically at the towing casting right aft. The sonar type 182 davit is in the stowed position. Under a canvas cover is the type 182 sonar towing winch. On the left is the VDS fitted stern of the Type 81 frigate Ashanti (1959). Haslar and Gosport are in the background.
