A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty, where this photograph was taken. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck at 62 station just ahead of the GWS 21 seacat director, looking forward and to starboard showing the forward funnel and foremast. Liferaft stowage is in the foreground with the 25 feet motor cutter in davits on the left and the port seacat launcher is ahead of it. The number for the 6th Frigate Squadron is on the side of the funnel. At the head of the foremast is the AKE (1) mattress aerial for the type 965M radar. A vertical format negative.
