Sealion (1959). In the forward torpedo compartment between 16 and 34 stations.
A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the forward torpedo compartment looking to port and up from the starboard side between 22 and 23 stations showing Nos. 2 and 4 torpedo tube doors on the right of the picture. An automatic emergency lantern is above a forward planes indicator box and various hydroplane controls and gauges are against the port side close to a depth gauge which records as deep as 740 feet. Next to the depth gauge is a lamp box for the HE (hand emergency) and AIV (automatic inboard vent) sluice valve. A torpedo control panel is under a tannoy.
