A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the forward torpedo compartment looking to starboard and aft from to port of the centreline at 33 station. On the starboard side on the left is a notice 'Warning. Operators should be conversant with the current fire fighting instructions for oxygen generators'. In the starboard aft corner is a 'Reduced H.P. air to pneumatic tools panel' and a box fitted with labels for 'CO2 absorp unit', 'Ship's supply No. 1' and 'Sea water battery No. 2'. Against the aft bulkhead are an amplifier assembly control panel and a seawater battery drive panel. An hose point is on the extreme right. A vertical format negative.
