A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the forward torpedo compartment looking to port and up from the centreline at 33 station. On the aft support beam for the torpedo reload racks are the instructions for loading and firing the submerged signal ejector, a modification record equipment notice (partially obscured by a metal framework) and a notice relating to shutting off the fore-ends. The submerged signal ejector is under the deckhead. On the aft bulkhead is a torpedo battery alarm unit. A vertical format negative.
