On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd shipyard at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge on 01 deck looking forward from the centreline showing the commanding officer's chair, the pelorus repeater, speaking tubes, recognition signal lamp box, engine direction and revolution indicator, revolution order receiver, bearing receiver, intercom speakers and a tannoy.
