On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd shipyard at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge on 01 deck looking to starboard from the port side showing the commanding officer's chair on the extreme left. Under the bridge windows are the communications ratings positions and against the aft bulkhead are the chart table, fleet disposition board and a visual display unit with the screen cover removed.
