On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd shipyard at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is in the enclosed bridge on 01 deck looking to port from the starboard side showing against the aft bulkhead the chart table, fleet disposition board and a visual display unit with the screen cover fitted. Under the bridge windows are an electric fire, telephone, microphone and a night signal box.
